Guerrero Jr. looks to reach the World Series

Vladimir Guerrero Jr.’s phrase about his team, the Toronto Blue Jays, has already become so popular that his teammates now wear shirts with his words.

“Last year they saw the trailer and in this one they are going to see the full movie.”

With this, the Quisqueyan was referring to the entire team and not its performance:

“I spoke based on the team, not just me. This year, with God ahead of us, we are going to the playoffs and the goal is to try to reach the World Series and win it”, Vladi Jr. told us in this interview

In these Spring Trainings, Guerrero Jr. is working on his swing, trying to be a more aggressive hitter towards all wings of the field and thus be able to help his team.

During those batting practices, we saw Vladi really enjoying himself and cracking jokes with his teammates. Yet on the other hand, when it comes time to get in the batter’s box, he transforms into a home run machine.

“When you practice relaxing and at the same time concentrating, that makes things go well for the game” told us the Toronto slugger, who, when we talked about respect for this sport and excessive celebrations in baseball, told us:

“My father taught me that you can enjoy the game without disrespecting your opponent. There are several players from the Minor Leagues who are disrespecting baseball and I enjoy the games, but without offending anyone.

His numbers in the last contest were impressive, however, a dream campaign by Shohei Ohtani left him out of the coveted MVP award.

According to many of the systems dedicated to predicting numbers for major league players, Vladimir Guerrero Jr. could hit about 45 home runs, drive in more than 110 runs, score more than 100 runs and average more than .305. If that is the case, we could again see Vladi’s name among the great favorites to be the Best Player of 2022 and now with a more competitive team, in a division that promises to be a pitched battle.
