Just days after the signing of dozens of international prospects with the 30 Major League teams is official, the exact amount that each of the franchises can spend on said promises has already been announced.

As happened on January 15, 2021, the die will be cast and with signings involved, many young players will have taken one of the most important steps in their new professional careers.

Before moving on to the amounts per team for 2022, let’s remember that five players got at least three million dollars the previous year, a list headed by the Cuban Peter Leon, with four million after signing his signature with the Houston Astros.

The two teams with the least money to spend ($4,644,000 each) are the Blue Jays and Dodgers, both fined $500,000 less than the lowest amount available, for signing free agents who declined qualifying offers in the 2020-2021 winter, George Springer and Trevor Bauer, respectively.

Let’s also remember that no signing for $10,000 or less adds to the totals that the 30 teams have available.

For Cuba, the signings of César Prieto and Oscar Colás are expected among a dozen available prospects.
