Eight Dominicans lead Latinos in the Future Stars Game

Jasson Domínguez, Vidal Bruján and Julio Y. Rodríguez will be just some of the attractions of the Futures Game on July 11 in Colorado

A total of 14 Latino players will participate next Sunday, July 11, in the Futures Game as part of the MLB All-Star Sunday, including 8 native players from the Dominican Republic.

The game will feature the attraction of seeing future baseball stars displaying all their talents in a 7-inning match between the American and National leagues.

Notable players will include the No. 5 prospect in all of baseball, Julio Yarnel Rodríguez, who comes from being an important part in the Dominican Republic’s qualification for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games and was also recently promoted to Double A in the Seattle Mariners minor league system.

They will also be the shortstop of the San Francisco Giants (12) Marco Luciano, the outfielder for the New York Yankees (24) Jasson Dominguez and the Tampa Bay Rays prospect (36) Vidal Bruján.

In the case of Domínguez, he will be the youngest player to participate in the event since he did. Vladimir Guerrero Jr. in 2017, both at just 18 years of age and will be the first to play without having done so in a full league season.
