Dodgers: Dave Roberts would continue as ‘long-term’ manager

The Los Angeles Dodgers entered the 2021 season from MLB how everyone’s true favorites to repeat the World Series championship they achieved last year; However, they have had to hand over the crown and there will be a new king of Major League baseball, but the team’s winning project remains more current than ever and for the Dodgers, manager Dave Roberts is a vital part of their continuation.

As mentioned by GM and the organization’s president of operations, Andrew Friedman, mentioned to radio station 570 LA Sports, the Dodgers are looking to keep Dave Roberts beyond his current contract, which expires at the end of the 2022 season.

It is obvious that Roberts is an important part of what we have achieved here in hindsight. And from there, what I can tell you is that I hope it will be part of our future achievements. There will be decisions, personnel changes, players, etc., but that does not change my perspective that Roberts will continue to be part of our future success.

Dave Roberts has been manager of the Los Angeles Dodgers since 2016, having won 5 consecutive division titles and played three World Series, finally winning the 2020 World Series. He was Manager of the Year in 2016 and has a record from the controls of 542-329 .

I started as a rookie on Al Bat in early 2018 and am going for my third season covering Major League Baseball as a web reporter. I am a fan of the San Francisco Giants, a number one defender of Barry Bonds and a critic of the Los Angeles Dodgers. Fernando Tatis Jr., Juan Soto and Ronald Acuña are the future of baseball, Mike Trout is overrated, and the Astros deserved to be taken away from the World Series for cheating. Besides baseball, I also enjoy soccer, football, basketball, and just about any other game that includes a ball or a ball. I am also an amateur musician, penniless gamer and very nerdy. Graduated in journalism from the University of Guadalajara, I graduated in 2017. Born in the shrimp capital of the world, Escuinapa, Sinaloa. I lived in Australia for a while; i survived giant spiders, tasmanian devils, and fought a kangaroo and didn’t die trying.
