Decisive Double A match between Salinas and Florida postponed due to rain

The Puerto Rico Baseball Federation announced the postponement of the decisive game for the last ticket to the semifinal phase of the Superior Baseball League Double A between the Salinas Flying Fish and the Florida Titans.

The game, scheduled for today, Sunday, was suspended due to rain.

According to the information provided by the sports entity, the game will be played tomorrow, Monday, at 7:00 pm at the Julio “Papo” Dávila de Vega Alta stadium.

The Salinas Flying Fish and the Florida Titans were victorious yesterday to win the right to contest the only available ticket to the Superior Double A Baseball semifinal.

The winner of this match will face the leaders Bravos de Cidra in the semifinal, from Friday, October 15.

Salinas overwhelmed the San Sebastián Patrolmen with a 10-0 shutout, who were out of contention with four losses in a row.

Right-hander Yadiel Rolón was dominant on the hill for eight innings with just three hits allowed; he struck out five batters and walked one.

The Flying Fish attack began from the very first inning, with a bouquet of three touchdowns. The first race was pushed by Ernando Melero with a single, which brought Pedro Nazario to the plate.
