The different teams of the Japanese Professional Baseball League continue their preparation for the start of the 2022 season, which will have its Open Day on March 25.

In the last few hours, the arrival of Yurisbel Gracial from Matanzas to training with the main team of the SoftBank Falcons was reported, as reported by the Japanese Baseball portal on its official Twitter account.

The yumurino spent 10 days in quarantine with his compatriots who are part of the Japanese squad in their respective homes in order to comply with the protocols established by the country.

Along with the Cuban, third baseman Nobuhiro Matsuda and Yuki Yanagita joined the preseason, two figures who will have a lot of weight in the squad with a view to recovering the crown lost last season.

Gracial was present for much of the preseason of the Matanzas Crocodiles with a view to the 61 National Series despite not participating in any game of the tournament that develops its fifth subseries.

Much uncertainty surrounded the possible hiring of the third baseman who ultimately became official on January 26 in the Adolfo Luque room of the Latin American stadium in the capital due to the constant injuries suffered in 2021.

In statements offered to the Cuban press, the player expressed feeling very happy to be part of the Halcones again, where he hopes to give his best as always to try to recover the crown.

Throughout his career in Japanese baseball, Gracial has a batting average of .300 in the 263 games he has been present. He also has 148 RBIs and 52 home runs while only receiving 64 walks with 207 strikeouts received.
