Cuba stayed at the gates of the World Series in the United States

Cuba lost its unbeaten record when it fell to Curaçao 3×1 in the final game of the Punta Cana regional tournament. In this way, they were left with the desire to materialize the dream of the Little League World Series based in the United States.

The small Sugar Leopards of Santa Clara began with the right foot of the game after the home run of their pitcher Elvis Herrera in the same opening chapter. And he himself started with wide dominance over his rivals, combining a powerful fastball with very effective breaking pitches.

But the Curaçaoans equalized in the second inning and then scored twice in the fourth, runs that proved decisive in the end.

Those led by José Ganuza were limited offensively, and only had another important moment in the third chapter after leaving a couple of runners in circulation.

The Curaçao team celebrates the victory over Cuba.

Despite the defeat in the game that could not be lost, and that Cuba still has not won at the international level, regardless of the category, we must recognize the great performance of this team in the Dominican competition.

Not only had they come into this conclusive game undefeated, but almost every game they had won comfortably.

The Little League World Series will feature 16 teams, and will start on August 17.
