Corona becomes the official beer of Major League Baseball

Major League Baseball (MLB – Big Leagues) and the Mexican company Corona have reached a new multi-year sponsorship agreement starting with the 2022 season.

The agreement will convert Crown on the “Beer Officer of the Big leagues” and will include a unique activation content platform on MLB.com and MLB Network. In addition, economic terms have not yet been revealed after this new agreement, what is certain is that it is multi-year.

It’s the first time MLB has split its beer sponsorship category. Budweiser is also an official sponsor of the best baseball in the world.

Corona will appear in Major League ballparks. In addition to the regular season, the deal will make beer accessible to older fans at iconic MLB events like the 2022 All-Star Game and the World Series.

In fact, nearly 30% of all MLB players are of Hispanic descent and more than 20 million Americans identify as Hispanic and MLB fans.
