The publication of a photo in Russia of a Cuban pitcher who was in the offing to participate in the island’s next baseball season not only surprised many fans, but the specter of concern loomed quite strongly.

The post on his official Instagram profile of the Camagüey serpentine player José Ramón Rodríguez put the fans of the Bulls in suspense, who in a good percentage thought that it made the athlete’s break with the team of his province official at least in the immediate future.

However, the journalistic medium itself reported that although Borroto and his technical staff agreed to the temporary crossing of Rodríguez, some officials of the INDER of the territory were considerably annoyed when they learned that he was outside the country.

“Comarca de los Toros” fears a penalty for the pitcher when he returns from Russia, something that would further complicate the outlook for the team that two years ago disputed the national title against the Crocodiles of Matanzas.

The pitching of Miguel Borroto’s Toros went from being one of the best in the country to one of the many staff full of difficulties in all areas. The absence for different reasons of Yariel Rodríguz, Yosimar Cousín, Arbelio Quiroz and the left-handed Dariel Góngora should undoubtedly be felt in the coming season. To that should be added that another with very good results in recent times, the right-hander Frank Madan, has his participation in the Series compromised due to difficulties in his throwing arm.

José Ramón Rodríguez gave up a lot of ground when three years ago he had to go to the operating room to undergo Tommy John surgery. This fact has marginalized him from having good results again in the Cuban competition, although it is not ruled out that he may recover little by little and at least contribute much more to his province than what has happened in the two most recent seasons. Now the Bulls need much more of their prominence due to what was previously expressed about those who will not officially be part of the payroll.
