Cincinnati Reds take bullpen hard hit with reliever Tommy John

Cincinnati Reds reliever Tejay Antone received bad news on Wednesday and the same serpentine was in charge of spreading it on Thursday. The right shall submit to a Tommy John operation on his right elbow, which will end his season.

Antone will be operated on Friday by Cincinnati team medical director Tim Kremchek. Because the payback time is 12-18 months, Antone will most likely be out of action until at least the 2023 season.

“It was not how I imagined my season would end,” Antone posted on his Twitter account. “I will have my second Tommy John operation tomorrow. I completely trust Dr. Kremchek and his team to come back much better ”.

The 27-year-old Antone made his first appearance Tuesday after being on the disabled list for 52 games due to a strained forearm. He had just five pitches off his leadoff hitter when he felt a tear in his elbow while pulling a curveball. He was immediately forced to leave the game.

I started as a rookie on Al Bat in early 2018 and I am going into my third season covering Major League Baseball as a web reporter. I am a fan of the San Francisco Giants, a number one defender of Barry Bonds and a critic of the Los Angeles Dodgers. Fernando Tatis Jr., Juan Soto and Ronald Acuña are the future of baseball, Mike Trout is overrated, and the Astros deserved to be taken away from the World Series for cheating. Besides baseball, I also enjoy soccer, football, basketball, and just about any other game that includes a ball or a ball. I am also an amateur musician, penniless gamer and very nerdy. Graduated in journalism from the University of Guadalajara, I graduated in 2017. Born in the shrimp capital of the world, Escuinapa, Sinaloa. I lived in Australia for a while; i survived giant spiders, tasmanian devils and fought a kangaroo and didn’t die trying.
