“For the federation this is something very important. More than joy, it is satisfaction, because this is a project that is more than five years old. When we started our participation in this category, we took an amateur team and they won the gold medal, but we were clear that the level had to be improved ”, commented the vice president of the entity.

“Putting Venezuela in a World Cup, winning a World Cup, is not easy at all. Now there will be greater demands to maintain that level, we demand more of ourselves because they will see us as the world champions that we are ”, added the national helmsman.

Likewise, ‘Beto’ Martínez confessed that, after so many years without such an outstanding participation in baseball, by a Venezuelan delegation, this milestone is at the height of what was achieved by the heroes of 41, which is why he considers that the The Venezuelan Olympic Committee must grant a space to the new heroes of 2021.
