Cardinals prepare tributes all year for Yadier Molina and Adam Wainwright

The St. Louis Cardinals closed the 2021 season of MLB impressively with a 17-game winning streak, which made them reach for get to play the game for the Wild Card against the Los Angeles Dodgers. Unfortunately for them, they lost it and are preparing for the 2022 campaign which will be the last of their legendary catcher, Yadier Molina, and probably that of his veteran pitcher, Adam Wainwright.

And for this, the Cardinals are preparing to give them a goodbye as they deserve, since according to information from Corey Miller of NBC St. Louis, the Cards are preparing tributes for their historic duo throughout the season, in addition to promotions and raffles in the stadium with collectibles honoring the Cardinals’ eternal battery.

Yadi and Wainwright became just the fourth drummer in major league history to reach 300 starts together, amid the Cardinals’ scramble for the playoffs last October.

Waino and Yadi will reach 2022 with the possibility of breaking the all-time record held by the drummer made up of Mikey Lolich and Bill Freehan of the Detroit Tigers, who between 1963 and 1975 opened 324 games together.
