Puerto Rican Yadier Molina could start his stage as manager in the Venezuelan Professional Baseball League (LVBP), specifically with the Tigres de Aragua.

The catcher for the St. Louis Cardinals in the MLB, Yadier Molina This year 2022 is in his last season as a professional baseball player, so he is currently in the plans of the tigers from Aragua for the manager position in the upcoming 2022-2023 campaign of the Venezuelan Professional Baseball League (LVBP).

As reported by En La Jugada LVBP, Los Tigres de Aragua have as their first option the former manager of the Navegantes del Magallanes, Wilfredo Romero, but they do not rule out Molina, who after his retirement wants to start as a professional manager.

“Yadier Molina is also a possibility to be manager of the team. We do not rule it out,” said Aberto Cambero, sports manager of the Tigres de Aragua.

Cambero affirmed that “El Yadi” contacted the management of Aragua and expressed his interest in directing in the LVBP after retiring in 2022 from the MLB.

“In Puerto Rico, every team has a manager and Yadier would like to start his career as a coach in Aragua,” added Cambero.

The Tigres de Aragua hope to confirm their manager within the next two weeks, with the candidates being Wilfredo Romero, Ozzie Guillén and now Yadier Molina.

Molina, one of the best receivers in the history of the MLB, has marked a mega-great career and it is expected that after his retirement, he can be a new Puerto Rican in the Hall of Fame.
