All MLB Catchers: Who to vote for?

The 2021 All MLB Team voting, presented by Cue Health, is underway now and you can decide which players will be honored as the best in each position. 50% of the votes will come from fans, the other 50% from a panel of experts.

You can vote here. You can continue to do so every 24 hours, until voting closes on Friday at 5pm ET. The 2021 MLB All Team will be announced next Tuesday on the MLB Network. It will be the first time that a first and second team have been announced.

The nominees for each position were revealed on November 10 and seven recipients are being considered for recognition. But only two can win.

Here, a closer look at each one.

Willson Contreras, Cubs
2021 Numbers: .237 PRO, 21 HR, 57 CE, 5 BR, .778 OPS
The Venezuelan is one of the last members of the 2016 World Series champion Cubs team still in Chicago. He continued to be a plate presence during a difficult year for the club. The 29-year-old mask finished second among National League catchers in home runs, with 4.1 wins over replacement according to Baseball-Reference.

Yasmani Grandal, White Sox

Will Smith, Dodgers
2021 Numbers: .258 PRO, 25 HR, 76 Ce, 3 BR, .860 OPS
After playing just 91 games between his first two major league seasons, Smith had a heavy workload for the first time in a full season, but he responded in a big way. Smith, 26, led all NL receivers in home runs and RBIs, as well as ranking fourth in OPS among players at the position in the majors.

Mike Zunino, Rays
2021 Numbers: .216 .PRO, 33 HR, 62 CE, 0 BR, .860 OPS
