12 Cuban major leagues to the All-Star Game in Miami. The ROSTERS exclusively

By Yasel Porto

This Saturday, January 15, the game between émigré stars of Cuban baseball will be resumed again with Tamiami Park as the venue, news that had already been given previously. What is new was what happened this Wednesday when the main organizer of the event announced the rosters exclusively within the Swing Complete show.

Rafael Milanés listed the more than thirty players between the National Series and the Major Leagues who will take part in this traditional meeting in which two teams will be measured under the names Red and Blue.

According to the former delegate of the Industrial and Havana City teams in Cuban baseball, true luminaries of the caliber of Orlando “El Duke” Hernández, Rolando Arrojo, Agustín Marquetti, Pedro Luis Rodríguez, José Ibar, Jorge Fuentes, Eddie Oropeza, Andy Morales and even Kendrys Morales himself will be part of the party. He also mentioned active players in the Majors such as José “Candelita” Iglesias and said that there were possibilities that the brothers Mesa and Gurriel could attend.

The starting time of the game indicated that it would be around 12:30, although from 11:00 am the participants of the event had been summoned. A while later, a ceremony will be held in which recognitions will be given to various figures for their stellar performance throughout their career as baseball players.

That moment before the challenge and after it is over can be the ideal moment for many of the fans in attendance to take the opportunity to have an autograph, a photo and even have a brief dialogue with several of those who became their sports idols.

The characteristics of Tamiami Park also help to have a very direct contact in this regard. For this reason and due to the altruistic nature of this game, no one will be charged for admission at all.

These meetings have already been held for a decade with moments of ups and downs, but the most important thing is that they have reached the present day and it seems that this edition will be in style. It is the most significant opportunity to bring together the largest number of players from the past and even the present, complemented by the presence of hundreds of fans who, together with the journalists, achieve an excellent bond with the great protagonists of the activity. René Quevedo and Sergio Gil have been mainstays for Milanés throughout the organization of what should be a great Saturday party.

Without further ado, here we leave you with the payrolls of the two stellar teams.
